Outlook Plugin

Outlook is a very popular Email client used by many of the businesses in existence today. Because of this we created a plugin that will help you integrate your Outlook client with Ivinex. With this plugin, you can import emails and contacts straight into Ivinex with a single click.

Note: In order for the Ivinex Outlook Plugin to work correctly, you must configure your Email mapping in Ivinex. Your Ivinex system administrator must do this, so if you are not a system admin and the Outlook plugin isn’t working, contact the system admin of your site.

Installation Instructions

Once you download the install file you can run it. Windows will probably give you a popup like this:

If you see this popup just click “Run” to begin the install process. After clicking run you might see another popup asking you if you want to let this program make changes to your computer. If you do, click “Yes” to continue.

After doing this you will see this screen:

Just click “OK” to continue with the installation of the Ivinex Outlook Plugin.

At the next step in the install process you will see a screen similar to this:

Simply click “OK” if you see this screen to continue with the installation process.

After clicking “OK” you will see this screen:

On this screen you will enter information about your Ivinex site, as well at your user name and password. When you enter the URL to your site make sure NOT to put in “http://www.”. Just put “yoursite.ivinex.com” but replace “yoursite” with your actual URL.

Once you’ve entered all the information the form is asking for click “OK”.

If you entered everything correctly and it all works then you will see this screen last:

Using the Ivinex Outlook Plugin

Emails

Sending Emails into Ivinex after you’ve installed the plugin couldn’t be easier. Just go to your Add-Ins tab on a open Email (fig. 6).

After opening your Add-Ins tab it might look something like mine (fig. 7). Simply click the “Send Ivinex” button and Outlook will add the Email to Ivinex.

After the Email has been added you will see a popup that looks similar to this:

Just click the “OK” button and this popup window will close.

Contacts

Adding contacts to Ivinex is very similar to adding in Emails. Just open the contact and go to the Add-Ins tab and click “Send Ivinex” (fig. 9).

After clicking “Send Ivinex” you should see a popup window that is very similar to fig. 8, except it will say “Contact added to Ivinex” instead of “Email added to Ivinex”.
